Surface Tension hypha-marble-arch blending real and imagined spacesThis piece was produced through chance encounters in the studio. Paper was laid down on work surfaces to collect marks as a bi product of creative activity. Displayed behind a used piece of clear acrylic with it's own imperfections, not just as a means of display but as an integral continuation of the ideas in the work. I'm interested in how this transparent layer both flattens the surface and creates depth and ambiguity to where the image layer lies.
