Often referred to as "the father of single malt," Urquhart was a single malt whisky advocate and pioneer and second generation member of the family that owns Gordon & MacPhail. Distilled at Glen Grant distillery in 1956, the year Urquhart became Gordon & MacPhail's senior partner, it was matured in an oak cask tailored to his specifications.
