Waddle's Drive-In, Portland, Oregon, 1949 Boston created this lovely charcoal drawing"Johnny & I went here March 1949". We don't know who Johnny and his companion were but we know from the hand written message and the items circled on the interior of this menu what they ate and drank (two hamburgers, a Pepsi Cola and a Milk Shake) at Waddle's flagship restaurant at Jantzen Beach, Portland. This is one of the lovely things about vintage menus they were kept to mark a first date or other important occasion and that's why we can enjoy
