Palpitating Still Photography less a body than aPalpitating Still is continuation of my work with imagery of anatomical hearts, which began in 2017. I freeze the glass hearts before firing them in my kiln. The gesso hearts bring to life a material often overlooked. I also give a second change to vintage plates. In a world wounded by war, climate crisis, and economic instability, I created this piece with the coziness of a grandmother's house in mind: kitsch plates on the walls, cake, warmth,
