The distillery originally opened in 1811 and continuesly distilled since opening, despite going through different management and expansions. This single malt was distilled in 2012 and aged for 9 years, including a finishing period in Pineau Des Charentes fortified wine cask before bottling in 2023. Bottled by Murray McDavid for their Benchmark collection, at natural cask
