The Valley backlit the inside of this waveThe winter swells were coming in consistent and strong to the Big Island, Hawaii on this ultra glassy morning without a single cloud in the sky. Winds were blowing lightly offshore, sending up mist behind the advancing waves. The black volcanic sand found lining the ocean floor brings in the dark colors to the wave and water surface.
