The books containing the various tones and chants were the Antiphonaries and the Nocturnals. In this volume, I have taken the texts in the Anglican Breviary for the antiphons, hymns, and short responds at the hours of Prime and Compline and set them to the corresponding chants from the traditional books with some alteration to accommodate the English.
