We recommend at least a 30 gallon aquarium for these guys. They are known to be mainly peaceful and can usually do well in large community aquariums. Good tank mates are rainbow fish, catfish or barbs. Rainbow Cichlids like to have hiding places, so we recommend having rocks and caves for them to feel comfortable in.
