The shape rises from a solid hill, with a neat cutter's wheel running through it, and the fine incisions and skin with just the right amount of shine make this a bowl appealing. In addition to the view of the white glaze and the finger prints, the presence of the densely packed plum blossom skin on the hill, reminiscent of the famous Hosokawa bowl, is something to behold. A
