I purchased this at a farm I trust out of South Korea and it was very expensive, I was told it is grown from seed. This is a highly unusual part, the groves in the crust of this are deep and it looks like the shell of a old tortoise. It's shown in a 4" pot and has mature roots from the cultivating farm.
