The Caduceus Limited Edition Crafted with a laser cutterThe inspiration for this piece came from the Hermetic symbol of the Caduceus. The ancient symbol has its roots in a Mesopotamian origin with the Sumerian god Ningishzida whose symbol, a staff with two snakes intertwined around it, dates back to 4000 B. C. The same staff was also borne by mythic heralds in general, for example by Iris, the messenger of Hera as well as most famously with Hermes in Greek mythology or Hermes Trismegistus in Greco Egyptian
