They go bright pink under some conditions, but this one is almost throwing reds. She is pulling from one leaf that she will lose and she will go oblong once this leaf is consumed. She will measure in at 4" across even after she loses this leaf. From my own experience, mine did not pull any leaves past the ones she was already
