Odell Borg Woodpecker Signature Bird Head Flute Choose Key:Key of G For over thirty-five years jewelerThe fine, intricate carvings of the Bird Head give these flutes a lifelike appearance. Depending on the design the instruments are inlaid with turquoise, silver, coral colored oyster shell or Mother of Pearl. The black flute bodies are walnut that is Ebonized, a process used since the early 1900's when Ebony was already rare and costly but Ebony furniture was popular. To compensate for that, wood workers developed a dyeing process called Ebonizing.
