(2022) was produced in 2022, in conjunction with Sterling Ruby: TURBINES at Gagosian, 522 West 21st Street, New York. The illustrated work, a painting in acrylic, oil, and cardboard on canvas, belongs to the TURBINE series that Ruby began in 2021. The new series incorporates the same materials that characterize his WIDW (201622) paintings but abandons the earlier works stark vertical divisions in favor of
