Eagle Force by Robert Taylor - The Eagle Tribute Proof edition of 40, print #22/40 The P 40 Curtiss Warhawk"Eagle Force" pays tribute to the 240 American fighter pilots all volunteers who flew with the RAF during the Battle of Britain. Flying with skill and courage the legend of the "American Eagle" was borne with the British public through the desperate fight for survival, the Battle of Britain. In September 1940 some of these pilots formed the first "Eagle Squadron" 71 Squadron made up of US volunteers pilots. This was the first of three Eagle Squadrons.
