三藤るい 青唐津茶碗 リシタン The view from the hillsideA new chawan by Rui Mito, a ceramic artist from Karatsu, distinguished by the softly bluish Karatsu tone unique to Ao Karatsu. Its dignified, asymmetrical form rises boldly toward the rim. Through the hikiootoshi technique, the piece was cast into the flames, where a powerful blue emerged in wrinkled textures, adding a vivid accent. Deep blue tones also appear within the interior, while the pulled marks near the foot reveal a rugged, wild landscape
