I’d got to know Sarah and knew her playing prior to writing the piece so I knew that I could write a piece that was challenging and virtuosic

fragments of which are assembled in a mosaic-like fashion to build the form

This kind of spacing is something I’m even more interested in now than when I made the original versions

and very much focused on orchestration and colour

with the sounds
