I agree, the trebles can add a danger factor to this rig for both the angler and the fish, but considering I target kings to keep them, I dont mind trebles for non-release fishing, but thats not to say they still dont pose a risk for me when I am handling the fish

Cold hands are no fun, but at the same time anglers need gloves that are practical and quick and easy to take off and on, as we often rely on the dexterity of our fingers for tying rigs and similar

So, for the summer and fall season, dont give up on topwaters and keep casting
