For sale here is a Frank Catino Tarpon fly reel. These reels were sold by Orvis in their 1983 and 1984 catalogs. This reel is right hand wind. The winding plate rim is palmable. Diameter is 4 3/8 inches, the spool width is 1.2 inches. The reel weighs 13.85 oz and is in near mint condition, only having marks on the reel foot from being mounted on a rod at some point. The cork disc drag is simply flawless and very strong when applied. It has obviously been professionally engraved for the original owner, but done very nicely. Capacity is up to WF12 plus 400 yds of 30 lb. backing. This is a super-functional reel that surely will satisfy its next owner
