I would have felt entirely comfortable casting stickbaits and jerk baits with the 3000-size reel, with plenty of line capacity to handle long casts and potential drag pulling

I used this dumbbell from my home gym, weighing 9 kilos (19.8#) I put the reel on a broken rod, and dead lifted the dumbbell vertically with the spool fully extended (most vulnerable position for the shaft), and held it for 5 seconds

Despite the drawbacks to this reel, the positive features more than balance it out
