Related categories: I remember when I first joined saltstrong back in 2017 and asked that same question and it was you I asked and what you told me was different then timing another knot you just simply said to change the front hook into a size smaller then the rear hook and it not only worked but makes sence to because a smaller hook cant swing up over the top of your line to catch it like it can if your using the same size of hook you have on the rear of your plug so ever since then when I change my trebles out after I buy a new plug I always use a 1 size smaller then the rear hook for instance if I was to change the trebles out on a spook jr I would put on a number 1 inline hook in the front and a 1/0 hook on the rear problem solved so you can keep using a loop knot although for me I use a bill Normans speed clip on all my plugs for quick change outs and I use a Polamalu knot for this no need to use a loop knot because the clip acts like a loopknot by giving the plug much freedom of movement but I only use the clips on my hard plugs on my spinnerbaits I do use the Palomar knot as well but on my jigs and plastic shrimp I use a loopknot works for me thanks for the info and all you do That also works, but if you need a quick fix this can help
