an emergency meeting was held at the Senedd on October 18th, to raise the plight of these species, with speakers including NRW, Afonydd Cymru, Swansea University and Dr Nigel Milner, with questions and issues raised by the audience, which comprised Welsh angling clubs, Wye Salmon Association, Atlantic Salmon Trust, Angling Trust and others, to inform assembly ministers Hugh Irranca-Davies MS and Cefin Campbell MS, who as species champions are keen to keep up the accountability on Welsh Government and push for urgent action to be taken, to preserve and restore our migratory species
