Patients with diabetes should be advised that while allulose does not significantly raise blood glucose, it should not replace established diabetes management strategies, including prescribed medications, dietary modifications, and regular monitoring

These are patient reported outcomes rather than lab values, so they are subjective and they build gradually, which is exactly why we ask patients to track them and report back at follow-up
