Alcohol does not directly interact with tirzepatide (Mounjaro and Zepbound), but it counteracts the beneficial effects of tirzepatide

An anion exchange chromatography process for purifying a GLP-1 peptide from a mixture comprising said peptide and related or unrelated impurities, comprising the step of:separating said GLP-1 peptide and said related or unrelated impurities of said mixture by elution in a solution consisting essentially of an organic modifier, water, optionally a salt component, and optionally a buffer, with a linear or step gradient or isocratically in salt component and/or with a linear or step pH-gradient or at a constant pH-value, wherein the pH-gradient or pH-value should be in the range where said peptide has a negative local or overall net charge different from the local or overall negative net charge of said related or unrelated impurities so as to remove said related or unrelated impurities, and wherein the ratio of organic modifier to water, on a weight percent basis, is from 1:99 to 99:1, such as 1:99 to 80:20, 20:80 to 80:20, 30:70 to 70:30, 35:50 to 50:35, or 40:50 to 50:40

Additionally, Mounjaro can cause several side effects and has restrictions to its use
Risk of Legal Blindness and Ischemic Optic Neuropathy The GLP-1 cohort had a statistically significant reduction in risk of legal blindness, at all measured time periods, as compared to the control, with a 1-year hazard ratio of 0.589 (95% CI: 0.4760.728), 3-year HR of 0.677 (95% CI: 0.5830.788), and 5-year HR of 0.669 (95% CI: 0.5830.768)
