The whisky first matured in bourbon casks before being transferred to bourbon casks with sakura (Japanese cherry) wood lids and aged. This gave this whisky its sweet, fruity oak note. This is a strictly limited edition of this whisky featuring historical Japanese artwork and was only available in Japan.
